Where do I start....these folks are PROS! I had a late season change to ship my personal boat, a 2016 Dufour 382 sailboat, from Chicago to Key West to join the rest of my fleet of charter boats and gave Mike less than 2 weeks notice. He found an opening in his schedule, gave me clear instructions to ensure the boat was prepared at the yard, and communicated clearly and respectfully all along the way as we got everything prepared for his arrival. While we prepared the boat for shipment, Mike worked with each governing body from Chicago to Key West to ensure permitting and escort vehicles were scheduled and ready to go in advance.

Mike arrived on time to the boat yard, coordinated an extremely smooth loading process that took less than 2 hours, and he was on the road quickly. He was already several hundred miles into the trip when I called, and even ended up arriving a full day earlier than planned, which was great! Mike also knew me well enough at this point to take a few pictures before she left Chicago to let me see the process as I was already in Key West (origination images attached, and video of their arrival to the Key West boat yard).

Overall, not only as a private boat owner but as a boat charter business owner, I've been incredibly impressed with the pricing, professionalism, communication, and overall experience working with Great Lakes Boat Transport. If I never have to use an alternative hauler again and only go to these guys I'd be VERY happy! I'd highly recommend Great Lakes Boat Transport to anyone that inquired. VERY impressive operation, and even better they're all just friendly people, and people like doing business with friendly people right?

Fun fact: During the prep process we realized that Mike's father was the boat hauler that originally brought the boat from Annapolis to Chicago back in 2016 when she was a brand new boat. Even though I contacted 5 different boat haulers, I'm thrilled I ended up choosing GLBT, and even more thrilled to know they've been the only company to haul my boat since she was new.
