Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge

It's a great resource. The visitor's center is very informative, the trails are well maintained and the room where presentations are held is roomy.

Ranger Becky is a great teacher and is excellent with the children.

The visitors center was closed for Halloween set up but they still let us tour since my friend was visiting from England. Lovely informative folks.

I live right across from the nature reserve and have for 20 years. Beautiful, lovely, and peaceful between the gators and the herrings and the seasonal bird migrations. Love it here!

Boy Scout Road is so so serene as well

Beautiful place to explore nature. You can get close to wildlife and get some physical activity in. The boardwalk allows people to feel on top of the swamp without getting muddy. Bring plenty of water, and snacks. Spring is the best time to go but can be enjoyable year-round with proper planning. The trail is 10 miles total.5 miles out and 5 miles back.

Such a peaceful place when it's not busy. Unfortunately, people aren't cleaning up after themselves but, this particular day it was in good shape. Always beautiful nature to be seen.
