Lake Shelby Campground, Shelbyville, Ky

Great little campground. They have about 12 RV sites with electricity and water. They have about 20 tent sites. The tent sites are right next to the river. Very reasonably priced.

Camped here for two weeks. In different spots over the summer. Lots of traffic! At all hrs of the night and day. Should be a sign saying "No outlet". Shady cars meet up at end. fishing for small fish is ok. Very over fished though.

This a small city run campground with 10 rv sites, water and electric. Very quiet at night as it's a ways off the main road. The restroom and showers were added just before I arrived. They were still working out the bugs, so water was off to the showers for most of my stay. The camp host is very friendly and helpful. The rv area sees a lot of public use, especially on the weekend, fishermen and boaters. I gave 4 stars only because of how the dump station is situated, practically inaccessible. Also, picnic table and fire ring in site 8 and 9 are perhaps eight feet apart, a wee bit close for my tastes!

All that said, I would go back in the future!

Great park. The RV pads are short but we were able to park our 39’ Coach half on the pad and half in the parking lot no problem. The camp host was courteous. The grounds were well kept. Access to the water was super easy. We chose this park because it was centrally located along the Bourbon Trail.
