Richmond Police Department

I've been pulled over and they have always been kind and courteous. And then this year my mom passed away and they have dedicated alot of time and energy into finding closer for us. Detective Salyer is absolutely amazing. He called and I didnt answer I honestly thought it was a scam then he text and was so kind but they are so understanding. I wish all police departments could be as kind and caring as the officers from this one. Thank you all so much for the risk you take everyday for your community.

My husband had a very serious medical condition from m.s. .Every single one of you that came you had patience you didn't beat him or provoke him you knew he was having a real medical condition instead you talked to him like you were his old friends.We really wanted to say thank you.Pete says he'd do anything for you guys has nothing but heart for ya'll. You saved his life

Michelle Woolum. I was actually pulled over this morning for speeding and the officer was super polite very professional and well mannered. And helped me with an issue on my license I wasn't even aware of that he didn't have to do at all. I have great respect for our city police as well as state. It's a job not everyone could do and I definitely do not think they are recognized enough for there hard work in our community and the kindness that they do show. They have a job to do same as everyone else they do it well. I'll pay my ticket and watch my speeding.

Got arrested for public intoxication when I was walking home one night and the arresting officer was awesome. Very comfortable handcuffs and was very gentle when putting me in the backseat and overall was a really nice officer. I can’t remember your name officer but you were awesome and didn’t even complain while I was sitting in the backseat crying and apologizing. You are definitely good at your job!
