Driver Licensing Regional Office

I was surprised how much things had changed since the last time I renewed my CDL,from having to get an appointment to self-certificacation ect. Both the lady at "check-in" and the lady at "Window 1" were very helpful and patient getting me squared-away. I guess I'm just NOT a 21st.century man yet, but I'm glad they knew what the hell Frankfort is wanting and how to get it..making sense of "today's government " .

They were so nice. Very busy, but got me in quickly.
Professional and efficient and kind.
Just hard to find the place.

After living in California for most of my life, KY DMV is like a breath of fresh air. I wish we could still go to our own county courthouse to take care of license renewals etc, but understand the cost savings in centralizing offices. By all means make an appointment. Showed up at 2:15pm for a 230pm appointment. Was called right around 230pm and was out the door by 245pm. Staff was overall pleasant and professional, but not overly friendly. Make sure to check website for needed documents. I saw someone turned away for insufficient documents. That must not have been fun. The office is kind of hidden on the back side of other stores. Beware of nearby schools schedules. When I got out, school was letting out and I was caught for about 10 minutes waiting for cars/students. Overall, not a bad visit.
