Merwin Nature Preserve

Such a great little place to go hiking!

Easy trail with really great views of the Mackinaw River. Depending on which route you take there is a bit of elevation gain and loss. Perfect for family hiking. A standard two mile hike can be made longer depending on how much exploring you want to do. A lot of time can be spent by the river and on little side trails. There are quite a few sandbars that can be accessed in lower water level times directly of of trails.
Very pretty scenery.
A perfect place to take the family. Though, no dogs allowed.
Pretty hard to get lost here, as the trails are clear and well marked.

Highly recommended.

One of the most beautiful places in McLean county. Great place to hike year round since no hunting is allowed there. There is a large creek that runs through the preserve and lots of interesting terrain.

Love this trail, quiet and isolated, no other people around. Beautiful place, didnt even see any litter
