(October 31, 2019, 12:50 am)This B&B is the perfect choice! The price is very reasonable, and Carol the owner is a lovely woman to rent from. The grounds are stunningly upkept with a pool and beautiful garden. The beach is a few minute walk, and is a locals only beach that is private.
Carol stocks the mini fridge with fruits, breads, and morning dairy products. There are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
The room was quiet, very clean and well kept. The bed is super comfortable as well. The a/c works great and is quiet enough to run over night if needed.
I will stay with this b&b every time I visit Oahu!
(October 12, 2017, 9:19 am)Wow! I travel to Hawaii just about every winter and this was my first stay with Carol and it won't be my last. Home and yard were very clean and private. The beach access was right next to the home and gave me a lot of opportunity to use paddle board. There was also plenty of room to store my board safely. I hardly ever write a review but with Carol made a lasting impression and treated us like family.
(October 10, 2017, 5:52 pm)Manu Mele Kailua B&B was amazing. We were in Kailua from Maui as my mom was having surgery at Castle Medical Center. Manu Mele was spotless clean, remodeled to perfection and super comfortable. Carol had everything I needed for a joyous stay. Home is in a fabulous neighborhood near a white sandy beach. (June 7, 2017, 1:05 am)This is the second time we've stayed at Manu Mele, the first was in 2013, and we're so glad we made it back. We stayed for a week and it feels like being in our own private home. The room has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. Carol stocked the fridge with coffee, fruit, cheese, Greek yogurt, bread, and jam. Every morning we had tea and breakfast at the pool-side tables in the beautiful yard and walked down the path to the beach to watch the sunrise. Stunning! There's also a whole closet full of beach gear - snorkels, bodyboards, chairs, and even a skateboard if you want to test yourself!
Carol was a lovely host, very funny and warm, and offered great suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and activities. We enjoyed sharing our adventures with her when we came back and the end of the (sometimes very long!) day.
We recommend it highly and will definitely be staying at Manu Mele again next time we're on Oahu!
(August 29, 2016, 8:43 pm)We stayed for a few nights in February and had an amazing time. A tiny path led to the beach and we went to see the sunrise every morning. The property is beautiful and the owner is so sweet. We really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I recently stayed at Manu Mele for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience from our initial contact with Carol, the owner, to the moment we pulled out of the driveway and headed back to the airport. We chose Kailua to get away from the hustle of life, and it was a great choice.
