Suwanee Lumber Co Inc

Suwanee lumber has good prices and good plywood; however stay away from their house brand… very inconsistent and seems to be pieced together with scraps for the top veneer on one side, instead of one solid piece of veneer on both sides. 😩. Their top grade plywood isn’t like this, it’s only the house brand lumber… i was told the only difference was a few more voids internally but that isn’t true. Im 100 sheets of plywood in… 50 top grade and 50 house grade. Stay away from house grade aka Suwanee lumber plywood. It’s just not the same and will require you to work it more to make it work. It is priced lower, but it needs to be. When it’s on display they have the good side up so you can’t tell.

This place was well organized and the guy at the desk was cordial and professional. I walked in the door and i could smell wood. I knew i was in the right place. I walked around and looked at the different pieces and did not have some guy following me around telling me the daily special. The selection on hand was not overly large but what i saw was good quality wood. Their prices are competitive plus they are in a convenient location for me, as i do much work in the metro Atlanta area. It is nice to have a place i can go to when i need good quality wood for a special project. If you are a woodworker or a hobbyist, go see these guys. You won't be disappointed.
