    Great Instructors!

Traditional Asian martial arts well taught by excellent instructors. Age is no barrier as I began my training at the age of 78 in summer of 2011, and improved my health and actually gained strength and agility. Enough to earn a black belt rating and this year earned a Bronze award at the regional tournament.

A little over 13 years ago I was a student of Tai Kwon Doe in Massachusetts. A Yoga Instructor for 18 years and always had a passion for the Martial Arts. When I moved to Florida approximately 3 years ago I decided to pursue my martial arts passion. As I shopped around in my area I was disappointed in the commercialism and the pressure of long term contracts.
The school of Oom Yung Doe Grandmaster “Iron” Kim Style has and is a Blessing. Not only am I and All exposed to just one style of Martial Arts, I love that there are 8 traditional Martial Arts styles and 18 Chinese and Korean style weapons that are taught regardless of your age and current physical condition.
The forms are taught and adjusted according to ones own body type. The school is amazing, with a National Head Instructor, an Assistant Regional Head Instructor and all that make up the school are sincerely kind and family orientated. The practice not only transformed my physical condition at the age of 51, I am 30 all over again.
Oom Yung Doe Grandmaster “Iron” Kim Style has and continues to totally enhance my life. Grateful, Thank - You !

Real martial arts, not glorified babysitting. My 8 year old shy beginner came out of his shell the first day. Very pleased with all the instructors. Their patience and willingness to teach children firmly but gently keeps my son coming back.

UPDATE: My younger son is 5 and has also joined. Still the best deal in town to foster confidence and discipline in a rambunctious child!

The school is amazing and we are very pleased with the results we have seen since our two children (ages 9 &6) enrolled 3 months ago.

We initially tried enrolling them into a different school, but my children were adamant in not wanting to attend that school after one class. My husband wanted us to check out this school and I am so glad we did.

We wanted our kids to be in martial arts primarily because my daughter (age 9), who is very sensitive, was being bullied in school and we wanted to build up her self confidence. We have seen a marked improvement in both of our kids’ confidence, strength, and agility.

The school teaches kids to have control and discipline. It is quite amazing to see the kids performing the different techniques. I also want to mention that the school teaches many different types of martial arts (self defense, jumps, Udo, Kata, Tai Chi, etc) so the kids don’t get bored.

My daughter has told me that this school has been “life changing” for her because it helps her release stress. Also, my husband told me that most martial arts schools require you to sign long term contracts but this school does not.

I have spoken with several of the moms in the class, whose children have been with the school much longer than ours, and they feel the same way as we do. The school is like a family. The instructors (there are several) are very dedicated and knowledgeable.

The only thing I wish they had, is an early morning class. I, personally, would join a class if I could do this in the mornings, while the kids are in school. I attended a free self defense class offered by the school and learned so much within a short period of time.

If you are reading my review then you owe it to yourself/family to give this school a try. You have nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.
