North Port Library

This place has really been through some things! I remember getting English lessons here in groups with my mom when we first moved to Florida (and the U.S., for the most part) and the teacher was super nice (and still teaches I believe!) The kids section used to be so fun with nice staff and cool activities and events. However, after Covid came around, the activity in this library dwindled greatly, and it’s not that fun of a place at all anymore. Sad to see that happen to this place :(

This library is very well taken care of and there was a lot to do for my 1 year old. The children’s section is huge. There are lots of puzzles and legos to play with. The lady at the desk in the children’s section was very nice and super helpful! I got a calendar and she went over the options for programs that would work for a toddler. We will definitely be back. This is a great option for little ones when it’s too hot outside.

Nice library. 2 Quiet rooms for tutoring or video conferencing which may be reserved.

Also I've never seen a reference poster for where to find book sections so I appreciated that... As seen in photo.

Ooh and a park tools bike repair station!
