Hugar McNamee, DO

I am truly blessed to have been referred to this doctor. He performed my umbilical hernia repair. He was patient and explained everything to me thoroughly. He even drew pictures for me. He's very kind and I really felt cared about as a whole person. He was respectful of my wishes and even when he didn't agree he was very respectful, addressed my concerns with kindness, and was not condescending. His office and hospital staff seem to really like him as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a general surgeon.

Although I don't see many reviews on this page I researched other sites and found that Dr. McNamee was rated very high. I needed Gallbladder removal and this was my 1st surgery in my life. I was absolutely terrified. I am the biggest baby that I can't even have a blood draw without a panic attack! I have to say, Dr. McNamee is not only highly skilled, his bedside manner is exceptional. You are not just another number with him. He spends as much time as needed answering questions. I never felt rushed. Every time I left his office I felt calmed and confident that I made the right choice. I was surprised that I felt no pain at all for 2 days after my procedure. On the 3rd day, a little discomfort, but never need prescription med's. Everyone is different and may not experience this as I did. But, I will say that he will take every step necessary to assure his patients are as comfortable as possible. Today was my 2 week follow up and I was actually sad to say goodbye. Without any hesitation, I highly recommend Dr McNamee!!!

Dr. McNamee has been taking care of my mother for over a month. I find him to be an extremely good Dr. He takes his time even drawing pictures to explain what he is talking about. He is very thorough & looks @ all the information about his patients before deciding on a plan of action..
