The Crags Campground

Beautiful campground with excellent sites. Fantastic hiking. Very removed from the rat race!

Love this little campground tucked back away from the hustle and bustle. We drove through the campground for the first time in 25 years just to check it out. We stopped to use the bathroom-2 people, didn’t even use any toilet paper. The camp host said for day use we had to pay $7 and took a picture of our license plate. Really? 100 yards from the campground is a parking area for hiking with 30-40 cars parked and they don’t have to pay to use the restroom.

The road to the campground is accessible and I had no problem getting up there with a Honda Odyssey. The sites vary in size but all of them are spacious and relatively secluded. All sites come with a fire ring and a picnic table, bathrooms are maintained well, and there's plenty of space to explore. The trails surrounding the camp are marked well and easy to navigate. The views are gorgeous, I spent hours looking out at the scenery. The host was also very friendly. I would love to come back here.

Such a great place to camp. I specially love the little creeks around the campsites. The host was so attentive made sure all was in order. Beautiful place! will definitely come back.
