Rubio's Coastal Grill

Good atmoshpere. Great food. Others might not remember it like I do.

We have 3 Rubio's near our home. They're all really good. However, the University location in Vista is hands down the best. Why? Because we totally enjoy the manager Fred. Fred is amazing in the way he remembers his customers and how to interact with them. Any of his regulars (like us) he remembers by name. He makes it so we like going back., again and again.

Rubio's it's always good, some better than others. And regard this specific one, the salmon portion was less in comparison with the other Rubio's out there but was tasty as usual.

Even though it’s a chain, the food is nice and fresh. I just get the steak tacos with rice and beans. Makes for a fresh, easy, and a great meal. Not too expensive so you can come with an appetite lol the steak is always fresh tasting and cooked usually medium. Not like some places where the steak is dried and hard!

The place was clean, I feel like someone was always wiping a table down or taking the trash out. The staff is friendly and patient. They don’t rush you and offer great suggestions on what to eat. It’s definitely a good spot to go for a quick and filling meal!
