(December 17, 2021, 10:24 pm)The first time I camped here was in the mid 50's when the parents sent me off to a summer camp in near Nevada City. Saw the movie "Giant" in Truckee at The Capital Theater (I think) and then we spent the night next to Donner Lake. I worried the tide might come and drown us in our sleep

(August 19, 2020, 10:04 pm)Love it, clean, well kept, nice restrooms and showers. Donner Lake nice for open water swimming and most all water sports with rentals for water toys on lake within walking distance. Close to Tahoe and rock climbing as well as hiking and biking.
