The Velvet Buttercream

This place is the real deal. This is no grocery store bakery. If you want gourmet pastry, THIS. IS. IT. Their simple sugar cookie alone is worth the drive, and that's not even getting into their cupcakes, macrons, and truffles. I come from a family of bakers that owned shops in NYC and surrounding areas. I am a harsh critic of bakeries and pastry. I have a birthday coming up and will be ordering myself their signature AZ Strawberry Shortcake.

How can I find the right words to say thank you…my goodness, it was my honor and delight to be afforded the privilege and opportunity to showcase and serve such beautifully designed and absolutely delicious cakes for Pastor Juan Brown’s book signing and birthday celebration. I am so glad I was watching the news when they advertised your business.

Chef Aaron, God has smiled on you. You are so gifted and talented beyond measure. Great cakes and job well done! And next year, God willing, I want to observe and/or help when you put up the Christmas tree. You did a fantastic job. It is very obvious you take great pride in your work. Most small businesses just throw up Christmas decorations from the Dollar Store with visible scotch tape and call it a day. Your Christmas tree is beautiful, outstanding! 😀

I am just blown away. My guests and I loved the mini cactus cupcakes I ordered for my housewarming party. Everyone even took pictures of the business card! The flavors I got were funfetti, red velvet, carrot, and chocolate… ALL were so amazing. Highly recommend. The customer service is also the best! I was unexpectedly ill the day before the event and had to reschedule a week later. They were so understanding and rescheduled no problem. 💕

I needed a custom birthday cake for my sisters 50th and reached out blindly to The Velvet Buttercream about a cake. They were so responsive and kind in helping me determine the cake options and pricing. I provided an inspiration picture and they created an even more beautiful version. I went with confetti cake with cream cheese frosting, and it was so delicious the entire group was raving about this cake. The attention to detail was really impressive and I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful cake for my sisters 50th. This cake was perfect inside and out. They were also so accommodating for when I needed to pick the cake up.

Aaron is amazing at what he does! The second picture was my inspiration, and the first is what he created. It was perfect for my Dads 60th birthday. The pricing was reasonable and communication was so easy. We ordered vanilla cake with lemon and raspberry filling and it was delicious!
