Stilwell Pianos

We were searching for a piano for my grandson online and came across Stilwell Pianos; decided to call spoke to Nathan Clelland, Store Manager. He answered all our initial questions and after the phone call we decided to drive from San Tan Valley to Stilwell Pianos in Mesa where we were greeted by Nathan. So glad we chose to visit the store!! Such a positive experience. Nathan was extremely knowledgeable, answering all our questions. He was very patient and customer oriented, playing several of the pianos and explained about the different tones. A great learning experience for this senior. The store was nicely kept and sparkled with all the different pianos. Such a pleasant atmosphere. We bought a really nice Baldwin and Nathan even helped to connect us with someone who could deliver on Monday. I was given a tour of the Ralph Stilwell Hall, a really nice concert hall with a stage and lots of comfortable seating. I saw the Stilwell Pianos "Private Reserve" Room and immediately pictured someone sitting at one of those beautiful pianos with a snifter of Remy Martin Louis XIII mid 1960s Cognac. Made me smile at the reminiscence of an age gone by. There is also a work room that was intriguing to me. The complexity of the workings of a piano are much more than I thought them to be. Then there is a children's playroom with a plethora of toys and the cutest little piano available to make everyone's visit a family friendly experience. So, if you are in the market for a great piano at a bargain price, or just want to stop in and visit... Nathan is there to help you with all your needs. Thank you for the awesome experience.

We had the best experience purchasing our "new" piano from Stilwell Pianos. We spent about 4 hours in the store trying every piano in our price range (multiple times). I worried we were overstaying our welcome but Michael treated us like friends and made us feel welcome. Never once did we feel pressured to purchase anything. The delivery guys were very kind and skilled. We are so happy that we chose Stilwell for this purchase. I highly recommend them.

We had a great experience purchasing a piano from Stilwell Pianos. Their staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated that their website was up to date and the pianos showing on their site were actually available. We purchased a used piano (built in 1985) that is absolutely beautiful and still in great shape. Our family and friends thought it was brand new. The third-party delivery service Stilwell partnered with was fast and affordable. I would highly recommend Stilwell Pianos to anyone searching for a new or used piano.

Although I'm not an accomplished pianist, I have an extensive background in music and the pursuit of music study going back 60 years. I have purchased several pianos over the years - and have experience dealing with other on-line piano sales organizations - Lindeblad, Faust Harrison, Living Pianos (Robert Estrin), as well as having worked with numerous Steinway dealers in various locations in the US. Having recently purchased a Steinway Model B from Stilwell Pianos, I can say firsthand that the experience with them was superior in every respect. Unparalleled integrity and honesty. Outstanding experience! Beautiful showroom with tons of great options and very competitive prices. Staff was knowledgeable, super friendly and low pressure. We bought an upright for our daughter’s birthday after visiting the showroom for a couple of hours. She played several to try them out and picked her favorite. We decided to think and pray over the decision so we went home, watched many of the instructional videos that Michael made on their website - excellent set of resources for intros and learning how to select and buy the right piano - and we decided to just order the piano that she liked the best from their site. Paid with paypal, they scheduled delivery the next business day, and it was in our home and tuned within 2 days. No surprises, no disappointments, nothing constructive to say other than we wish we had just gone to them first, before visiting 3 others stores. The piano sounds amazing (we were replacing an old Baldwin) and even after researching other options we truly couldn’t be happier with the choice of Stilwell and the piano we bought from them.
