Great place to fish! The lake pods are maintained by the City Of Avondale and is considered to be a city park. Because this park is "Catch and Release" the fish in the pods have grown very large creating a great place for a challenge. One resident of the area has taken a picture of a flathead that he had caught that weighed in the proximity of 80lbs before releasing it back into the pod.
The city goes to great lengths to ensure the water remains clean and because of this artificial lures, power bait and live worms are the only baits allowed with a barb less hook.
The park closes at sun down and reopens at sunrise.
