This is such a great place to visit. The hike into the Caverns is easy with lots if exhibits of lights and live characters. The passages were narrow with low formations in areas, so watch you head as you go. The campgrounds have plenty of places to grill and clean public restrooms. Hiking trails 👣 are well maintained and are easy to moderate.

Underground caverns tour is worth it!! It was $19 for a single adult ticket which includes entry into the park. The tour lasts about an hour and our guide, Hannah, was very informative and fun. Family friendly but the underground walk can be VERY slippery, steep, and tight in some areas so be wary of that. They have multiple times listed for tours on their website so check the times first before coming out.

Quiet place to stay. Did the whole tourist thing and did the gem mining and the cave tour with Hannah (she was amazing!!!). Darryl one of the park people was one of the nicest people we have met at a park!!!! I am pretty sure this place is hopping in the summer due to the pool which uses the mineral water from the cave!!! Do your self a favor and stay at this lovely place!!!!!!

Such an excellent experience! These caverns are beautiful and have so much history. Do not pass up this spot. Great camping and hiking trails too! Very knowledgeable tour guide who had some great stories on the tour! Since the bats were still hibernating (March) we got to see them hanging from various parts of the cavern and one even flew over out tour group! Excellent afternoon here!

The State Park has great at&t service, is conveniently located (close to the major highway but far enough away to feel like its own world), has a very neat cave system (that's wonderful during their holiday season), and has a few trails that are nice. The RVs are situated right next to each other in a small loop a short distance from the gift shop / cave entrance parking lot. I would recommend it for a 2-3 day trip at most, take advantage of the cave system, hike a few trails, and then move on (or work a bit if you're an online nomad).
