Optica Del Mar

Hola Gringos!
I've tried two other glasses places in Rosarito - Optica Del mar was recommended by a friend so I decided to give them a try. My prescription is tough: I'm astigmatic near-sighted, with RK surgery; I wear tri-focals, with the no-line lenses. Challenging right? I've been referred, by glasses-makers, to see a TJ-based optometrist b/c my prescription was that ... fun.

Anyway, I went to Optica Del Mar for my appointment and was seen immediately. He read my old prescription, had me read a couple lines on the chart, then put the contraption over my face to play the number-1 or number-2 game. Twice. Then, and this is when (afaik) the sorcery started: he shined a light back into my eyes for several seconds. First one, then the other. Then he pulled some new lenses out of the box and slid them into the machine thingy still stuck to the front of my face and said: try these:

Optical Del Ray also helped me stay within my senior-citizen budget (and I stayed with my first-choice frames - supper snazzy!) for the lenses, for which I am grateful; They also beat expectations on delivery as my glasses were ready in six days when I was told initially 1-2 weeks.

I picked up my new glasses and am so happy - not only can I see again, on all three (trifocals) planes, but the glasses needed zero adjustments to anything. That alone is as rare as ... pickled hen's teeth, I guess.

I'm definitely a repeat customer! Great tech work, quick and accurate examination, very affordable, quick delivery, and perfect fittings. What's not to love?

Needed new glasses cause mine had broken and I wasn't able to pass the eye test to renew my license. The 2 gentlemen working there were so very nice. They told me approximately how much it cost. Got in right away. Did the exam. Picked out the frames. Came out less than they said. Picked up the glasses a week later. Perfect. I highly recommend this place. BTW I passed the eye test at the DMV.
